Despite just how baffling the news stories might be, I think it’s good to stay abreast of stories that might affect me or my community, what’s going on worldwide. Here’s my routine for checking the news and my go-to sources for stories.

Over the past few weeks, I’ve been wearing some version of this outfit on repeat, as I find it’s a simple, but sophisticated look that can take me to any number of places and situations. For everyday life, I love to dress in a way that’s elevated but still and comfortable and below, I’ve broken down my secrets to easy sophistication!

Jumpsuits and boilersuits are back in a big way this year. I’ve yet to dip my toe into the latter, but I’m all about a jumpsuit and this one is pretty well perfect. I initially was going to choose this style in black, but ended up choosing the bright pink instead. And you know what? Jumpsuit on = mood lifted.

Bold color, playful pattern and sheer, voluminous sleeves that remind me of I Dream of Jeannie in the best possible way. I love wearing clothes that call to mind another era and this jumpsuit does just that with its shape, pattern and perfect detailing.

Sometimes you happen upon places that just take your breath away—this display of rhododendrons was one of those spots.

It was doubly special for me. I'm a firm lover of all things floral, but secondly, rhododendrons are the state flower of Washington (where I'm from), so it felt like being right at home (while still in the city of London). I first spotted these stunners on Instagram and knew that I needed to find them.

Amazingly, it's been nearly two months since we spent a long weekend in Amsterdam.

I said it before, but I'll say it again—I loved this city. It has such a relaxed atmosphere, yet it's still elegant. That goes for so many things—the architecture, the attitudes, the restaurants and even the style. I wore this outfit—a casual, yet elevated look, much like the city itself—for an afternoon of exploring.

This is something that started out as a simple list, but has inadvertently turned into a fairly personal post. Blogging has been a (relative) constant over the past few years and something that’s made my life really feel full recently.
