The Jumpsuit of Dreams
My Outfit
Jumpsuit and Velvet Shoes c/o Boden | The Cambridge Satchel Company Bag | Boden Sunglasses (sold out, but I love these current season ones)
Bold color, playful pattern and sheer, voluminous sleeves that remind me of I Dream of Jeannie (one of my favorite old TV shows) in the best possible way. Yes, this is the jumpsuit of dreams! I love wearing clothes that call to mind another era and this jumpsuit does just that with its shape, pattern and pretty detailing.
I can imagine wearing this in the sixties, but it works equally well today. The tie waist is super flattering and the wide cut bottoms make it incredibly comfortable. And those sleeves are what sold me on this. Gathering at the shoulder and the cuff creates a bit of volume while the fabric shows just enough skin.
If you’re wondering what to wear to a holiday party, this is your answer, along with these velvet heels too!
To be honest, I wasn’t sure how they’d fit, as shoes with ankle ties are a hit or miss when it comes to wearability. But these are a surefire hit—the thick velvet ribbon stays put and the block heel make these really comfortable.
On this outing (one of the few sunny days we’ve had recently in London), I wore them all day without any issues! But if you want a pair for yourself, hurry, as they’re nearly sold out!
I love when errands take me to my favorite neighborhood, Notting Hill. And I couldn’t pass up the iconic turquoise island in Westbourne Grove, which, of course, is home to Nikki Tibbles Wild at Heart. I had the pleasure of working with their team in my previous job and I always say hello when I’m around.
They’d just decorated the storefront for the holidays, so how perfect that I was able to snap a few photos in my go-to holiday party look. Though to be honest, I’ll probably be wearing this any given day of the week! And it’ll transition effortlessly for spring and summer too. I can already picture it paired with a denim jacket and trainers for a casual park date!
