November Beauty Favorites
With a trip to Portugal, plus out of town visitors and plenty of items on my to-do list, November’s been a busy one. Each month a few new beauty products seem to find their way into my routine and become firm favorites. This month they all seem to be products that help me achieve a polished but natural look with ease.
Here are my most-loved products in November:
My Autumnal Color Palette
It’s so helpful to think of a few colors to stick to each season. Akin to my strategy in packing a suitcase, you want to minimize items you buy (or pack) and maximize the outfit options you have. Sticking to a few colors helps to ensure that any piece you pull out will probably go with at least a few other items.
My autumnal color palette can essentially be summed up by the colors in this dress—a few of my year-round favorites (I see you, blush pink!) plus a couple of new additions too!
The Gal Meets Glam Kaye Dress
Ever since their launch in April, I’ve been wanting to add a couple of Gal Meets Glam Collection dresses to my wardrobe. Julia Engel is a blogger I’ve followed for years and it’s so exciting to see someone work so hard to see their goals realized.
As you’d expect, all the dresses are simply stunning. Like Julia’s style, they’re feminine, elegant and timeless. With so many of the designs being subtle nods to the past, I love that these are dresses that will never go out of style, including this one.
Pink House, Blue Bag
Few things make me happier than days spent in Notting Hill, in part because of the pastel townhomes that always put a smile on my face. As it was Easter, I also added to the pastel theme with the details of my outfit, and I of course had to snap some photos.
Favorite New Fall Shoes
A change in season is always so refreshing - most importantly because you have an excuse to make some additions to the wardrobe and today I'm talking shoes.
Ikies, Santorini
I've never stayed at a hotel with a more incredible view! With its whitewashed walls and buildings nestled in among the hills, this was everything I hoped a Santorini hotel would be.
On The High Street
I do occasionally splurge on timeless items that will last for years and years but that is the exception. Here's my spending strategy plus some of my favorite 'high street' brands that I turn to time and time again.
Throwback to Summer
Since my husband and I are heading to Italy tomorrow, I thought it would be the perfect time to share this vintage-inspired look I wore this past summer that'd be perfect for our trip.
Dinosaurs in the Desert
When planning our recent trip to Palm Springs, there were a few things I knew I needed to do: check out the midcentury architecture, try a date shake, and make a visit to nearby Cabazon for the retro dinosaurs.
