Recalling our stay at Ikies Hotel in Santorini, Greece

Better late than never, right? These photos were taken all the way back in April (btw, how is it already September?) when we visited the island of Santorini for a my birthday. I had been to Greece last year (pictures in this post) when we visited the mainland and an island in the northern part of the country.

That trip was incredible, but when I used to picture Greece, I would always think of whitewashed buildings perched atop steep cliffs. We didn't see that on last year's trip, so I knew I needed to go back to explore more of the country!

On a particularly rainy day in London, I decided to look for a warm weather spot to get away to, and happened upon a really good deal for an April stay at the Ikies Hotel in Santorini and decided to book it! This hotel is nothing short of spectacular.

Each room has its own balcony (ours even had its own little pool) overlooking the water - I've never stayed at a hotel with a more incredible view! With its whitewashed walls and buildings nestled in among the hills, this was everything I hoped a Santorini hotel would be.

On our first full day, we were up early for breakfast (the hotel brings you a huge spread and sets it up on your patio each morning) and to explore the hotel. I wore this breezy dress I picked up from Zara and paired it with my leather sandals, a souvenir from last year's trip. After wandering through the hotel (and being in awe of the view) we headed out to explore Oia town- more on that to come!

Until next time,

- B
