It's finally starting to feel like Spring here in London - the days are getting longer, the temperatures are warming up and most importantly, all the flowers are starting to bloom!

The prettiest early spring blooms (in opinion)? Camellias. These flowers, with their multitude of perfect petals, look like a cross between a rose and a peony and can be found all over London this time of year.

This past weekend, my husband and I went over to Greenwich and happened upon one of the most vibrant display of camellias I've seen and of course I just had to pose in front of them (and smell them and toss them in the air joyfully).

We've recently been making an effort to explore more parts of London and beyond. There's so much to see and do and it's all so accessible. For the trip to Greenwich, we left mid morning and arrived within an hour via the tube and the DLR (Docklands Light Rail), which cuts between tall skyscrapers and along and over the Thames river - a great, albeit wobbly, ride!

I fully embraced the sunny weather, wearing a new find from ASOS - a perfectly breezy cotton dress with billowy bell sleeves. The length and 3/4 sleeves make it a perfect dress for the slightly warm spring weather and appropriate for the office on weekdays.

I paired the dress with neutral accessories for a clean and timeless look - a Chanel boy bag (on it's inaugural outing!), my go-to Le Specs sunnies and suede Boden wedges. When you're exploring new areas, you never quite know what to expect (or what the day will become), so I generally bring a few extras, such as the flats I later changed into and a light jacket which I lucky didn't need!

When we arrived in Greenwich midday on Sunday the area was packed with people. I'm not one for crowds and chaos, so we headed straight for Greenwich Park to take a peek at the spring blossoms and get some fresh air.

After strolling through the park and taking plenty of picture, we found a hidden park exit and strode back into the center of Greenwich via a much less crowded route. Soon enough we were back amongst the crowds, grabbing lunch at the Sunday market (Thai food for me, a chili dog for him). We had planned to do dinner in London, but found that a quiet evening at home sounded just right after a day of exploring.

Back to Notting Hill we went, checking Greenwich off our list and discussing where to visit next. Any suggestions?

Until next time,

- B
