Beauty Must-Haves

Beauty must-haves: Chanel, Essie, NARS, bareMinerals, and Topshop

I've recently added a few new beauty items to my daily routine (why has it taken me so long to discover NARS?) and I've been so pleased with them! I thought I'd share my favorite beauty items that use on a daily basis and just what makes me reach for them each morning!

Revlon ColorStay Liquid Eyeliner |

The only liquid eyeliner I can manage to use - the wand is easy to hold and the sharp tip allows for a precise line. I don't wear this everyday, but when I want to do a cat eye, this is what I use!

NARS Creamy Concealer in Vanilla |

This is by far the best concealer I have ever used. Just a small amount is all you need to cover blemishes and dark circles - plus it feels so smooth and weightless. I used to be really satisfied with a drugstore concealer I was using, but this one is miles better!

NARS Blush in Orgasm |

I love this blush - and doesn't everyone? I've seen this on just about every 'top makeup products' list I've ever read. I have fairly light skin and this adds both warmth and color that looks natural. This is one product that definitely lives up to the hype.

NARS Radiant Cream Compact Foundation in Mont Blanc |

After trying a few foundations at the NARS counter, this one seemed to suit my skin best! I was initially interested in the tinted moisturized, but it did not work with my oily skin and I found the pressed powder to feel a bit too heavy. This one is a happy compromise - it gives me medium coverage and feels light on my skin.

Chanel Perfection Lumière Foundation in 12 Beige Rose |

For days when I want a bit more coverage or a longer lasting wear, this is the foundation I use. It's a bit heavy, so I apply it with some moisturizer for a smoother feel. This foundation does a great job of providing full coverage and easily lasts all day.

bareMinerals Matte Foundation |

I actually tend to use this as a setting powder - I find that a light dusting sets my foundation and helps to reduce any shine throughout the day!

Essie Nail Polish in Ballet Slippers |

In an effort to save a bit of money, I've been doing my own nails over the past year. I love Essie polishes, and my go-to is 'Ballet Slippers.' It's blush pink color is neutral enough to go with any outfit, but still has a feminine feel.

Sonia Kashuk Lip Gloss in Sheer Pink |

I rarely leave the apartment without a swipe of this gloss. It adds just a hint of color and the right amount of shine - and most importantly, it never feels sticky!

Topshop Lipstick in Rio Rio |

When I opt for something a little bolder than my daily gloss, I reach for my 'Rio Rio' lipstick from Topshop. The quality is amazing for the price - it's hard not to buy two or three colors. This one feels fresh - a classic red with a touch of coral.

L'Oréal Voluminous Million Lashes Mascara |

When I can't find benefit They're Real Mascara, this is the drugstore brand I go for. It gives me really great length and no clumps, plus it's easy to layer for bold lashes.

Until next time,
