Our London To-Do List

Though we could have spent hours upon hours exploring the charming streets of Notting Hill and the beautiful parks nearby, my husband and I had a few classic London landmarks and activities on our to-do list - and I'll be perfectly honest, we planned most of our time around food!
The place I most wanted to visit was Fortnum and Mason for afternoon tea. Years ago, my grandma took my sister, mom, and I to London and this was the place where my grandma insisted we have tea. Having the opportunity to revisit and share those memories with my husband was incredibly special. All our other activities then revolved around that location - we explored Trafalgar Square and the National Gallery beforehand, did some shopping at Liberty and dinner at Nopi afterwards - all within walking distance of Fortnum and Mason.
The next day also had us planning around our eats. I simply had to have Ottolenghi, so we used that as an excuse to explore the posh area of Belgravia and make a stop at Harrods (and their 'shoe heaven' department - swoon!). Because we only had one full day in London, we didn't intend to 'do it all' - we simply picked out our must-do's and planned other activities around them, time and location-wise. And so what if most of our to-do's were food-related? I think it's an important aspect of exploring a new country and culture!
Until next time,
- B
