My 10 Favorite Posts of 2015

A cute DIY using a Diptyque catalogue.

It's nearly the end of the year, so I thought I'd look back on the past twelve months and pick out my favorite very blog posts of 2015! It's fun to see all the adventures I've had, look at the progression of the blog, and reflect on what a year it's been! Without further ado, here are my top picks and what they mean to me!

A Diptyque DIY (pictured above) | I absolutely love the label design on Diptyque candles. The simple black and white color scheme and how the letters are arranged inside the oval is perfect. With two cats, I'm not really able to use candles, but this is a way to display my favorite scents!

Red anemone flowers in a silver mint julep cup make a cute floral centerpiece for derby day.

Derby Day Flowers | I love the simplicity of this arrangement and these silver julep cups have since become my go-to vase for any occasion. One is even housing our baby Christmas tree at the moment!

Wild at Heart flower shop in Notting Hill, London.

Notting Hill Charm | I was so lucky this year to take a trip to London and Paris for my birthday. My husband and I both fell in love with the lifestyle and charm of London, specifically Notting Hill. As soon as we arrived, we knew we wanted to return. Little did we know that just a few months later we'd be living in that very neighborhood!

Wearing a black and white striped Loft dress and Everlane modern loafers at the Palais Royal in Paris.

Stripes on Stripes | I love this post because it reminds me of what an amazing day this was! It was our only sunny day during our time in Paris, which also happened to be my birthday. We had croissants, dressed up to see the sights and had a post-dinner stroll beneath the glittering Eiffel Tower. Just perfect!

How to spend a week in Paris, an itinerary that includes stops at the very first Chanel boutique and macarons at Ladurée.

A Week in Paris | This image is my all-time most liked photo on Instagram, and you know what? I like it too! Writing down the day's activities while on vacation is something that my grandma and mom both encouraged me to do, and I'm so glad they did! It's fun to look back and remember all the experiences - good or bad.

Wearing one of my very favorite Topshop shift dresses and picking ollalieberries at Swanton Farm outside of San Francisco.

Red, White, and Berries | My husband and I went to the u-pick berry farm during the summer and it was the quintessential California experience. We drove along the coastline to get there and basked in the sun while picking (and eating) the most delicious berries!

Visiting the iconic pink door house in Palm Springs, California.

Pink in Palm Springs | How can this not be one of my favorites? After seeing this house on Pinterest, I knew I needed to have a look when we took a trip to Palm Springs. And of course I wore pink!

Lily for Target shift dress in a playful giraffe print.

Orange is the New Black | This is one of my favorite pictures! My husband and I were on our way to brunch, but first had to stop and take a few silly photos. Matching the door was a bonus!

Wandering through the pastel streets of Notting Hill, London in a blush pink Sandro dress paired with a classic quilted Chanel bag.

Pastels in Notting Hill | We took these photos just after moving to London. It was September, but the summer sun was still out, which made the transition from California a bit easier. I love all the colorful houses of Notting Hill and even now can hardly believe that we are lucky enough to call this place home!

Wearing a striped shift dress from Topshop and M.Gemi flats at the Boboli Gardens in Florence, Italy.

A Stroll through Boboli Gardens | Florence is one of my favorite cities and this post reminds me of the fun times that my husband and I had during our time there this fall. We only had a couple days, but we fit in so many classic Italian experiences (which obviously included gelato) and we definitely want to go back!

Ready for the holidays in a sparkly little black dress from Kate Spade paired with patent loafers.

and a bonus one...

Bank on a Little Black Dress | Sorry (not sorry!), just had to include this one simply because I love this dress! It had been hanging in my closet for months, tags still attached. Then I decided I don't need a special occasion to wear a pretty dress - so I wore it on a regular old weekend to get a takeaway croissant and wander around town!

Until next time,

- B
