Roses are Red
My Outfit
Hobbs Dress (currently on sale) | Gucci Sunglasses | Sam Edelman Heels | Bobbi Brown Crushed Lip Color in Regal
Roses are red,
That’s nothing new.
I prefer them on clothes,
How about you?
Want to know a secret? Despite working with blooms and sharing photos of flowers on my feed, I almost never have them in the house. And if they are, they’re usually hidden behind a closed door rather than sitting proudly on the kitchen table.
I blame our two mischievous cats who’ll chew on anything new. So despite loving flowers (and very occasionally displaying them in our home), I really prefer my blooms on my sleeves. It’s a worry-free and very beautiful way to display all of my favorites.

It brings the same joy as seeing them out on the table. And even better? These ones don’t wilt quite so quickly as the live versions do. And the cats leave these ones alone. No knocked-over vases!
At first look, I wasn’t too sure about this dress. Perhaps working in the flower industry the past few Valentine’s Days has me subconsciously disliking red roses. But once I tried it on, I loved it. Roses are some of my favorite flowers and I love the clusters of them all over this dress. Yes, even the red ones are alright, I suppose!
The gathering at the neck and the buttons on the sleeve make it even more special. I love it styled simply with a red lip and black heels, but it’d look equally lovely with a leather jacket for a more casual look. Roses don’t always have to be red, but if they are, I like them this way—on a dress!
Until next time,
Brenda
