Well, hello there and happy Cinco de Mayo!

The husband and I have just returned from a lovely little vacation to London and Paris and (once my jet lag wears off) I'm looking forward to sharing memories from our trip soon! In the meantime, I thought I'd post a simple recipe for one of my favorite drinks - the Paloma!

If you've never tried one, think of them as a perfect alternative to the margarita, but a touch sweeter. It's my go-to drink to order when I'm out for tacos (my absolute favorite Paloma in San Francisco is at Tacolicious) but it's a simple drink to make at home too! Here's how:

2-Ingredient Palomas

Ingredients:

  • 2-3 parts grapefruit soda (I like Izze or Jarritos)
  • 1 part blanco tequila (such as Patrón Silver)
  • Lime and grapefruit wedges for garnish (optional)
  • Ice cubes

Directions:

Simply add an ice cube (or two) to a glass, pour in the tequila, and complete with the grapefruit soda. Feel free to get festive by garnishing with grapefruit or lime slices and enjoy!

Okay, all I need now are some chips and guacamole. Happy Cinco everyone!

Until next time,

- B
