Few places in London are more visually striking than Hampstead Heath and it's one of my very favorite places to spend a day. I love the trees and trails, the quaint swimming ponds, but my favorite spot is the grassy area near Kenwood House.
When you're here, you feel like you've been transported back in time or straight into a movie set. Walking through these fields is nothing less than magical. It's a perfect place to just watch the breeze run through the grass and feel the sun against your skin.
These photos are from a few weeks ago when my husband and I ventured over to Hampstead to enjoy the sunny Sunday weather. We walked all the way through the park from Hampstead Heath station to Kenwood House.
It was quite a walk, but well worth it to be rewarded with such gorgeous scenery. For the outing, I wore my favorite sandals. I first bought a pair six years ago before a summer in China, and they've proven to be the perfect shoe for exploring (they're quite durable and comfortable enough to walk in for hours), but can just as easily be paired with a nice dress. I buy a new pair each summer.
Isn't it nice to have a go-to? Whether its a sandal or a spot in a park - it's always nice to have something to rely upon or to return to time and time again. Hampstead Heath is my spot for getting some air in such a busy and hectic city. What are your go-to's?
Until next time,
- B
