Sometimes you happen upon places that just take your breath away—this display of rhododendrons was one of those spots.

It was doubly special for me. I'm a firm lover of all things floral, but secondly, rhododendrons are the state flower of Washington (where I'm from), so it felt like being right at home (while still in the city of London). I first spotted these stunners on Instagram and knew that I needed to find them.

I love living in London. It's city living at its very best. Everything you could ever want is within reach. But along with city life comes smog, congestion, and so so many people! 

Sometimes you need a breath of fresh air—literally and figuratively. And you know what? London offers that too. Here’s where I get it.

Few places in London are more visually striking than Hampstead Heath and it's one of my very favorite places to spend a day, particularly the open fields near Kenwood House.
