When planning our trip to Paris, I did a lot of research, and in doing so, stumbled upon this article that included photos of the gorgeous Palais Royal. Once I laid eyes on this art installation - modern columns with black and white stripes - in the palace courtyard, I knew I needed to visit and had the outfit to match!

I bought this dress from Loft a couple weeks before we left, thinking it would be perfect for the spring weather in Paris. Unfortunately, it happened to rain during most of our visit. But one morning (which also happened to be my birthday!), we looked out and it was sunny, so I quickly put on the dress, added tights for warmth, and we hurried down to the Palais Royal before the rain had a chance to return! It is weird that I found matching these columns to be ridiculously fun?
