Bank on a Little Black Dress

A couple weeks after moving to London, my husband and I got a little confused with the bus system and ended up at Bank Station (named so because it's right near the Bank of England) on a rather rainy day. I was struck by the regal columns and stone buildings all around us and knew I wanted to return on a clear day to explore the area a bit more!
This past weekend, we did just that. After dressing up in our Sunday best for a breakfast of croissants and hot chocolate, we made our way to Bank. I loved the contrast between the light grey stone and my little black dress and couldn't help but pose amongst all the columns!
This holiday season (or any!) you can't go wrong with a little black dress for all the parties and festivities. I adore Kate Spade's dresses because they always include playful little details, whether it's the embellishment on this one or a well-placed bow on another!
Although it was a sunny, clear day, it was certainly a cold one! To keep myself from shivering, I paired my LBD with some opaque tights (last worn here, here, and here), while lace-up loafers complete the look. I'm loving this pair with it's patent finish and low heel - a perfect combination of glam and comfort!
I absolutely loved the fun bell shape of this dress, the fact that I was having a really good hair day, and the sunny skies - I just couldn't help but jump for joy! Oh, and dresses that have pockets just make me smile.
This season, bank on a little black dress to get you through the holidays in style! Although this dress is from last winter, I've shared a couple of my current season favorites at the top of the post!
Until next time,
- B
