Dinosaurs in the Desert

When planning our recent trip to Palm Springs, there were a few things I knew I needed to do: check out the midcentury architecture, try a date shake, and make a visit to nearby Cabazon. Just about a 20 minute drive west of Palm Springs, Cabazon is home to both a massive and relatively upscale outlet mall and a wacky roadside dinosaur attraction. Naturally, I was pretty excited about both!

Since I love a good theme, I put on my green Topshop dress to match the Cabazon dinosaurs and paired the look with some sandals covered in oversized gems (diamonds, like dinosaurs, are also prehistoric, right?). After quickly snapping some photos in the 100 plus degree desert heat and quickly looking around the outlets, my husband and I sought out some much needed air conditioning and a date shake back in town at King's Highway (I could eat here everyday!). 

Simply because they are so silly, these dinosaurs are a must see when you drive into or out of Palm Springs!
